Animal Services seeking information in Cape Coral cruelty case

Lee County Domestic Animal Services is seeking information in a cruelty case that was discovered Thursday, July 17. The partial severed remains of a Siamese cat were found on Northwest 6th Place in Cape Coral.

Only the lower portion of the cat's body was recovered by a nearby resident. Animal Services also has received allegations of other missing cats in this area but this is the first cat that has been found mutilated. The investigation is ongoing.

Animal Services requests anyone with information about this cat or knowledge of any other missing or injured cats in this area of Cape Coral to call 239-533-7387, extension 2, or contact Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS.
