A fundraiser for Ed Prince will be held Saturday, July 12, from 4-7 p.m., at the Dixie Roadhouse.
Prince, the former Cape Coral Civic Association president, was recently diagnosed with multiple myleoma. A loving husband and father, he was a long-time city inspector who has been very involved in the community. Event organizers report that days after receiving his diagnosis, Prince was rushed to the emergency room and hospitalized with kidney failure. He is home and receiving treatment.
Friends and loved ones have organized the fundraiser to assist the Prince family with the mounting finical burden created by the treatments.
The "Benefit for a Prince" will feature food and drink specials, raffles and door prizes and a live performance by Graham Morris. Organizers are also planning a main benefit to be held in October.
Those who cannot attend the fundraiser can assist the family by making a donation to the Prince Family, at BB&T Bank/Paul or Ed Prince/account #243275172, or donate at www.youcaring.com, search for "Prince."
The Dixie Roadhouse is at 1023 S.E. 47th Terrace in downtown Cape Coral. Visit The Dixie.com or Caperockade.com
