BJ's Wholesale Club is donating more than 760,000 diapers to Feeding America. The supplies will be distributed to Feeding America network food banks across the country to families who struggle to afford food and basic household items. The BJ's Wholesale Club in Cape Coral is donating more than 10,000 diapers to help those families in their community.

A recent study found that the majority of Americans who are food insecure also struggle to buy basic necessities, including personal, home and baby care items that may not be covered by government assistance programs. Many of these families cope by altering eating habits, increasing the potential risks to the health and well-being of themselves and their children. Feeding America is the nation's largest domestic hunger relief organization helping to combat these findings.

BJ's is donating diapers in sizes 2,3,4,5 and 6, amounting to more than $130,000 nationally. They are donating 10,424 diapers locally in Cape Coral to the Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida.

BJ's Wholesale Club has donated more than 20 million pounds of food to Feeding America, and more than $19 million to 2,200 community organizations since 2005; and has supported BJ's Adopt-a-School Program, which has served 2,575 elementary schools since 1996.

BJ's Wholesale Club is dedicated to providing members with high-quality, brand-name food and merchandise at prices that are significantly lower than supermarkets, supercenters, department stores, drug stores and specialty retail stores.
