FORT MYERS - Tim Shibuya flirted with a no-hitter in seven scoreless innings and the Fort Myers Miracle shutout the Charlotte Stone Crabs, 10-0, at Hammond Stadium on Tuesday night.

Shibuya's (4-2) no-hit bid was ended after 6.1 innings when Patrick Leonard singled through the left side. Over seven innings, Shibuya allowed just two hits with no walks and struck out four. Of the 21 outs recorded by Shibuya, 10 were on ground balls.

The Miracle gave Shibuya an early 2-0 lead with a pair of runs in the first inning. With one out, Aderling Mejia hit a chopper to the right side for an infield hit off Stone Crabs starter Blake Snell. Stephen Wickens then sliced a 3-2 pitch into right field. Julian Ridings tried a sliding grab, but the ball bounced past him to the wall. Wickens pulled into third with a RBI triple and Mejia scored from first. Adam Brett Walker drove in his 51st run with a sacrifice fly to center.
