A Cape Coral man has been charged in the armed robberies of two convenience stores earlier this week. Kyle Orr, 26, of 2106 SE 10th Terrace, has been charged in connection with hold ups at two 7-Elevens within hours of each other early Tuesday morning.

According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, Orr was masked and waving a gun when he robbed the 7-Eleven at 6326 Beau Drive in North Fort Myers at approximately 1:15 a.m. Tuesday adding less than four hours later, Orr committed an armed robbery at the 7-Eleven at 9651 Cypress Lake Drive.

This time Orr was captured by surveillance cameras not wearing a mask, officials said in a prepared statement released Saturday.

"Soon after the Lee County Sheriff's Office released surveillance photos, multiple tips came pouring into Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers identifying Orr as the possible suspect," the release states. "As Lee County detectives were closing in on him, Orr was picked up yesterday afternoon by Cape Coral Police on an unrelated grand theft charge."

While in jail, Orr was then notified by sheriff's detectives that he was being additionally charged with two counts of robbery with a firearm.

Orr remains in the Lee County Jail, where he is being held without bond.
