A controversial run in the fourth inning proved to be the difference Tuesday night as Tampa Jesuit eliminated Cape Coral in the Region 5A-3 baseball finals 1-0 advancing to the FHSAA Final Four at Jet Blue Park next week.

Luke Spangler started on the mound for the Seahawks (22-6), relieved by Kyle Arjona (8-2) in the fourth inning when Tampa Jesuit scratched for the game's only run.

The fourth started for Jesuit with two walks and a hit to right field with the Seahawks throwing out the lead runner at the plate. With two outs, a Jesuit batter beat out a swinging bunt on a blown call at first allowing the winning run to score on what would have been the third out.

"We didn't make the little things happen that deciced the game," said Seahawks coach Mike Gorton.

The Seahawks (22-6) are finished for the season with Jesuit advancing to the Class 5A FHSAA Final Four at JetBlue Park next week.
