Civic needs to come out against taxes and fees

May 1, 2014
Cape Coral Daily Breeze

To the editor:

The Cape Coral Civic Association is worried about who will pay legal fees for the former mayor?

I agree with them that the city taxpayers should not foot the bill for legal fees, however I have not heard if the association has a stand on the new round of taxes and fees the city has.

The Civic Association should start a petition and try to get these taxes or fees done away with. You need to put a end to the way this city operates.

This city has no leadership when it comes to saving money or making the cuts in services. When is your organization going to do something about the way the city operates?

We have city manager who has no idea how to run a city, and a mayor and city council that goes along with him.

Are you going to wait until the city is broke like Detroit or other cities, to take a stand?
