Wright Construction completes

utilities improvement project

Wright Construction Group has completed an extensive utilities improvement project in the Sabal Palm Apartments community in Fort Myers, announced Wright project manager Chris Campbell.

The community located along Sabal Palm Boulevard is now known as The Landings at East Pointe.

The project involved: installing approximately 5,800 linear feet of 8-inch water main, abandoning existing water mains; new water services including meter boxes, backflow preventers, fire hydrant assemblies; re-coating existing sanitary manholes and lift station wet well re-lining existing gravity sewer mains; installing curbs and milling and resurfacing where required; sidewalks, signing and pavement markings; and road resurfacing and improvements to the Sabal Palm Boulevard median

CCIM names three

scholarship winners

The Southwest Florida District CCIM Chapter recently announced a trio of 2014 scholarship winners: Carlos Acosta, senior director of LandQwest Commercial; Nicole Gray, an associate with CRE Consultants; and Ron Kerr, property manager with Continental Real Estate Companies.

To become a CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member), candidates must complete four core courses, compile a resume of their commercial experience meeting minimum dollar and volume requirements, and pass a comprehensive final exam.

The CCIM Foundation has been granting scholarships to deserving students and real estate professionals since 1988.

The scholarship programs are designed to encourage and assist professionals pursuing the CCIM designation and to promote high educational standards. The programs enable commendable professionals in the real estate industry to experience the CCIM Institute's education first hand.

The growing CCIM network has close to 20,000 members in more than 1,000 marketplaces and 30 countries worldwide. The Chicago-based CCIM Institute confers the designation to commercial real estate and allied professionals through an extensive curriculum of 200 classroom hours and professional experiential requirements.
