Jean Paul "JP" Cyr, 68, of Cape Coral, passed away suddenly Sunday, April 27, 2014, at his home. He was born Jan. 31, 1946, in St. David, Maine, to Vincent and Irene Hebert Cyr. He graduated from Madawaska High School in 1964. He was a U.S. Army veteran and lifetime member of the American Legion. He had lived in Florida for 19 years. He was a communicant of St. Andrew Catholic Church.
He is survived by his loving family, including his wife of 48 years, Helen Fox Cyr; daughter, Lynn (Jeff) Garber; and grandchildren, Thomas and Lauren Garber. He is also survived by his brother, Fernand Cyr, and sisters, Verna Lausier, Jeanne (Ernest) Pratt, Jeannine (Jean Paul O.) Cyr, Martha (Francis) Dufour, Jacqueline Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m., Friday, May 2, at Coral Ridge Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, May 3, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 2628 Del Prado Blvd., Cape Coral. Burial with military honors will follow at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
