Irene J. Lowe. 90, was born March 14, 1924, in Philadelphia, to her parents, Paul A. and Mary (Hallowell) Johns Sr. She passed away in Fort Myers on April 24, 2014.
She is survived by her son, Denver D. Lowe Jr., of Fort Myers Beach.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Denver D. Lowe Sr.; her granddaughter, Rebecca Dawn Lowe; and her parents.

She was an avid world traveler who enjoyed life and her friends. She was nicknamed "Sparkles" for her sparkling personality and her zest for life. She was an accomplished teacher and educator who later on became a leading business woman in her community. She, along with her father, started the very first accounting service in Cape Coral known as Cape Coral Accounting Service. She was an IRS Enrolled Agent and financial consultant. She was also very prominent in bringing women to the forefront of business and was a founding member of the local American Business Women's Association. She received numerous accolades and awards throughout her life to include being named "Woman and Boss of the Year." She was included in "Who's Who of American Women" in 1978 and also served as an officer in various other civic clubs and organizations such as the Accountants Association, Daughters of the American Revolution and the Eastern Star. She was a direct descendant of John Morton, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. She was known to always do the right thing and was trusted and admired by everyone who knew her.
A visitation was held at the Fuller Metz Funeral Home Tuesday, April 29. A celebration of Irene's life followed.
