April 25, 2014
Cape Coral Daily Breeze

On Monday, April 21, 23 members of the Men's Chorus of Malsch, Germany, visited a rehearsal of the Cape Chorale Barbershop Chorus and entertained an audience there with a variety of music. The German chorus presented several traditional German songs as well as medleys of songs from Elvis, The Beatles and the Beach Boys. After the German chorus finished, the Cape Chorale presented several songs from its repertoire arranged in barbershop harmony, concluding with a rousing version of "Beer Barrel Polka," much to the delight of the visiting Germans. The German Men's Chorus is under the direction of Matthias Boehringer. Cape Chorale is under the direction of Dave Barton.
