90 single-family home permits pulled

in March in unincorporated Lee County

During March, contractors pulled 90 permits to build single-family houses collectively valued at more than $18.3 million in unincorporated Lee County. That compares to 82 permits issued in February and 78 issued in March 2013, according to the Lee County Department of Community Development.

Also during March, 91 multi-family units were permitted, compared to 24 in February and eight in March 2013. These include a $4 million, 65-unit apartment building at 15251 Pamplona Run, southwest of McGregor Boulevard and Pine Ridge Road, and a $2.5 million, six-unit condo building at 11051 Via Tuscany Lane in Miromar Lakes.

General commercial activity was valued at nearly $1.5 million for nine permits. In comparison, commercial permits were valued at more than $5 million in February and nearly $2.2 million in March 2013.

Lee County Community Development issued 3,747 permits of all kinds during March.

Two models are open

in Sorrento in Bonita Springs
