They had two sons, David and Michael, who relocated with his family from Lake Mary, Fla., to take care of his mother after Marceline lost her husband and mother in the same year, 2003. They both had lived with her and she now was alone.

Marceline remained very active, picking flowers in her garden daily, playing checkers and cards, doing crossword puzzles and watching her favorite TV shows. In Marcie's past she was an avid artist and was quite a fisherman, catching fish around the world. She also enjoyed her grandchildren and going to church.

Even in death she gave life to families that may be faced with an end-of-life decision. Marceline put her end-of-life decision in her son Michael's hands and held on to life until a court battle on her behalf was won against Lee Memorial Health System. Two days later she let go of her earthbound life and was taken to heaven. In the words of Fr. Remi Ssekiranda of St. Andrew Catholic Church, she is a warrior.

She is survived by her son, Michael; daughter-in-law Kimberly; grandchildren, Alexander, Connor and Kathleen.

Rest in peace mom, you are with your husband and family.

Services were held at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 2628 Del Prado Blvd., S., Cape Coral, Saturday, March 29, with a wake following at Coral Ridge Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1630 S.W. Pine Island Road, Cape Coral.

Visit to leave the family a condolence.
