To the editor:
Now, let's see Putin invades the Crimea which is part of the Ukraine. Russia was a signatory to the agreement made respecting the territorial integrity of the Ukraine if the Ukraine gave up its nuclear weapons. Putin violated that agreement and he is charging the U.S. with violating international law.
Putin goes to claim that the U.S. is operating under "the rule of the gun." Yet, it is Putin who has sent troops and warships to the Crimea.
Obama is most likely the U.S. president that is least likely to use "gun" tactics. Nothing done by Obama shows that he has the mettle for such adventures.
The old U.S.S.R. propaganda machine has been resurrected by Putin.
But would we not expect that from a person that is from the former KGB?
Somehow, Putin and law do not seem to go together. Neither does Obama and the "rule of the gun!" This is the shootout at the OK Corral being portrayed by inept diplomacy.
There are those who will ask what would the Obama detractors do in this case? The problem with that question is that Obama has many advisors: and they are all ineffective.
