AchievAlympics & Chili Blast coming to Cape Coral
Achieva Credit Union will host its first annual AchievAlympics & Chili Blast in Cape Coral, Saturday, April 26, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Four Freedoms Park 4818 Tarpon Court. Proceed will benefit local area classrooms through the Achieva Foundation, a 501(c)(3) Corporation.
The family-friendly day of fun will include two exciting main events:
- AchievAlympics - a good old-fashioned field day competition.Teams will compete in a variety of games such as relay challenge, potato sack race, three-legged race, kayak relay and more!
- Chili Blast - a friendly chili cook-off. Teams will showcase their chili to be judged in three major categories: Family Favorite, Spicy and Unique Taste.
This event is free for spectators. Team registration for both events is still open.

Fusion Welding manufactures, installs railings at Hammond Stadium
Fusion Welding in Fort Myers manufactured and installed 4,000 linear feet of aluminum powder-coated railings at Hammond Stadium as well as structural steel work in other sections of the stadium and other areas of Lee County Sports Complex. The railing work was part of Phase I of the ballpark's $48.5 million renovation being managed by Manhattan Twins Joint Venture, a partnership between Manhattan Construction Company, Chris-Tel Construction and Casey Construction.
The railing project was completed in just 75 days. Rails were fabricated and installed throughout the stadium, including seating areas, the new 1,236-seating space in the outfield, a new drink rail, party areas, the new 360-degree boardwalk, and the new grass berm beyond left field.
