Seahawks pound Celtics 9-3

Cape Coral got five runs in the second inning Monday night to open a big lead and downed St. John Neumann 9-3 in Naples.

Matt Richey led the Seahawks with two hits, including a double, while Bailey Wilson and Kyle Arjona each had a hit. Arnona's hit was a home run.

Josh Feliciano (1-0) picked up the win in relief striking out three batters over 2 1/3 innings.

The Sehawks (11-3) visit Bishop Verot on Wednesday.

Barron Collier 6, Mariner 2: Mariner was held to three base hits overall in Monday's loss at Barron Collier.

Luis Ferrer had one hit for the Tritons, who scored both of their runs in the seventh inning. Tim Watters (2-1) was tagged with the loss.

The game was 2-0 headed into the sixth inning when Barron Collier broke it open with four runs in the sixth.

The Tritons (10-4) play Tuesday at Port Charlotte.
