Arden Regis Theobald

Arden Regis Theobald was born Feb. 10, 1920, in Dayton, Ohio, to his parents Arthur and Hermina (Hammen) Theobald. He passed away at his home March 6, 2014, in Cape Coral. He had been a resident of Cape Coral for the last five years, coming from his previous home in Buffalo, N.Y.

He served his country honorably with the U.S. Navy from 1944-1948 during World War II. He was awarded the Victory Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Area Campaign Medal with 25 stars.

He was also a member of the International Order of the Blue Gavel. He was a past president of the IOBG (International Order of the Blue Gavel) in New York; and also a member of The American Legion, and the New Residents Club in Cape Coral.

He is survived by his loving wife, Betty; son ,Donald L. Theobald; son, Rick Theobald; and daughter, Pamela Lawrence; as well as 10 grandchildren .and 12 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church Tuesday, March 18, at 11 a.m. Entombment will take place at Sarasota National Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made in Arden's name to Hope Hospice, 9470 Health Park Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908.
