Tritons offense rips Immokalee 10-0

Mariner struck for three runs in the first inning to set the tone and tempo of Tuesday night's 10-0 five-inning mercy-rule victory over Immokalee.

The Tritons added another three runs in the second and four in the third to turn the game into a rout.

Luis Ferrer and Victory Marrero each contributed two hits. Ferrer's base knocks drove in three runs, including a two-run triple. Marrero also struck a two-run double.

The offensive fireworks backed winning pitcher Tim Watters' four innings of four-hit effort. The Tritons (10-1) travel to Ida Baker Wednesday for a non-district game.

Cape Coral 10, Golden Gate 0: Scotty Dudas drove in two runs with four base hits and scored twice to help power Cape Coral's five-inning shutout victory Tuesday night.

Dylan Bontrager delivered three hits and scored three times while Jose Valmana added two hits and Robert Becker added a pair of RBI.

Kyle Arjona (4-0) struck out nine batters over four innings to earn the win for the Seahawks (9-3), who visit Mariner on Friday.


Cape Coral 13, Golden Gate 0: Carly Vilardi struck a two-run double among her three hits Tuesday night to lead Cape Coral's five-inning shutout victory.

Makenzie Buss also delivered three base hits, including a solo home run, and scored three runs to help her cause on the mound. Buss (8-2) allowed three hits and struck out four to pick up the win. Cheyenne Krolczyk drove in three runs with a pair of doubles with Ally Slaughter and Heather Dubay also contributing two hits.

The Seahawks (8-4) travel to city rival Mariner on Friday.

North Fort Myers 10, Estero 0: Alynn Kayatta had three hits to lead North Fort Myers to victory Tuesday night with Mackenzie Peterson (8-1) tossing a complete-game two-hitter to pick up her eighth win.

Kaylee Morgan drove in three runs with two hits, including a two-run double in the sixth inning that ended the game on the mercy rule. Katelyn Kelly also contributed two hits for the Red Knights (11-1), who travel to Bishop Verot Thursday night.
