FGCU's women's basketball team concludes their home court season this weekend in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
The Eagles (20-7, 14-1 A-Sun) took on Lipscomb Thursday night and host Northern Kentucky Saturday night at Alico Arena.
They close out the season at Stetson on March 8 before the conference championship tournament.
Since losing to Northern Kentucky midway through the conference slate, the Eagles have outscored opponents by an average of 25 points a game and win six straight games. They are finishing up their 10th straight 20-win season and are tied for the conference lead with Stetson.
In conference play, the Eagles have outscored the opposition by a margin of 17.5 points and held foes to an average of 52.9 points per game.
FGCU's men wrap up their season on the road at Lipscomb Thursday and Northern Kentucky Saturday needing to win both to lock up the No. 1 seed for the conference tournament.
n Softball: After a close battle with Oakland, the Eagles (10-7-1) defeated Eastern Michigan Wednesday to split the doubleheader.
Oakland scored two runs in the top of the fifth to erase the Eagles' early lead and win 2-1.
The Eagles took a quick one-run lead to begin the second game as well. Eastern Michigan pulled ahead briefly, but Eagles earned a 7-2 win.
