Tthe Friends of Cape Coral Wildlife will hold its 12th Annual Burrowing Owl Festival, Saturday, Feb. 22, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Held at Rotary Park, 5505 Rose Garden Road, Cape Coral, the festival marks the beginning of the nesting season for these protected birds.
On hand will be wildlife speakers, exhibitors and vendors, Creative Kids Corner, student wildlife art contest, live animals, butterfly house tours, guided bus tours to visit owls (for an extra fee) and, new this year, a photographers bus tour (participants must preregister - call 239-980-2593 or visit www.ccfriendsofwildlife.org for more information).
There will also be food, fun and more.
The festival is free for kids under 16. A $5 donation will get you in for an all day fun day.
