By JIM LINETTE ( , Cape Coral Daily Breeze

Cameron Farmer broke up a no-hitter and set the table for the game-winning run in the seventh inning Thursday night as Ida Baker clipped Cape Coral 1-0 in the final round of the Seahawks' Early Bird Tournament at Terry Park

Starting pitcher Daniel Korchick pitched three scoreless innings for the Bulldogs with Jordan Pinto picking up the win with four scoreless innings of relief. The two allowed a combined seven hits and fanned four batters.

In the Bulldogs' last at-bat, C.J. Schrowe drew a one-out walk to start the scoring rally. With two runners on, Farmer broke up the no-no with a single. That brought Darren Latore to the plate with the bases loaded. Facing a 2-1 count, a wild pitch allowed the winning run to score.

"It was a good win for us," said Bulldogs coach Bob Vandeventer.

The Bulldogs (1-2) play at Island Coast next Wednesday. The Seahawks play at Immokalee on Tuesday.

Fort Myers 10, Dunbar 2: Zach Kazak pitched a solid four innings Thursday night for the Green Wave (2-0), who host Port Charlotte Friday.

Cape Coral 9, Ida Baker 4: McKenzie Buss pitched well and contributed two hits and two RBI toward the Seahawks' victory over Baker Thursday night.

Carly Vilardi went 3-for-4 with one RBI to back teammate Kerry McLaughlin, who scored four runs and batted in another. The Seahawks (1-1) host Bishop Verot Friday night.

North Fort Myers 13, Cypress Lake 0: Mackenzie Peterson struck out seven while Katelyn Kelly stroked four hits, two for extra bases, and Summer Ackerson had four base hits with three RBI to carry North Fort Myers to victory Thursday.

Alynn Kayatta and Kaylee Morgan added two hits apiece and Melinda Therion stroked a double for the Red Knights (3-0), who play at Ida Baker on Friday.

Bishop Verot 6, Fort Myers 0: Erin Kyle pitched a complete-game shutout, allowing four hits and striking out seven, to lead Bishop Verot to victory over archrival Fort Myers Thursday night.

Annete Castaldo contributed a pair of hits and three RBI to the cause. The Vikings (2-1) play at Cape Coral on Friday.
