Edward C. Davidson, 69, of Cape Coral, formerly of Gurnee, Ill., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, in Cape Coral. He was born Oct. 10, 1944, in Lake Forest, Ill., to James and Margaret Davidson, now deceased.
He was of the Presbyterian faith. He was an honorary member of the Faith Presbyterian Senior Singles Group. His career was with Cahill Heating & AC as supervisor.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Ray Davidson of Cape Coral; daughter, Debbie Guillen of Beach Park, Ill.; one sister, Janet Davidson of Beach Park, Ill.; one brother, George Davidson (Debbie) of Dalzell, S.C.; stepchildren, Kimberly Hudson (James) of Kenosha, Wis., and Eric Ray of Midland, Mich.; five grandchildren; best friend, Dennis Cahill (Rose) of Libertyville, Ill.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, including Caity and Robert Davidson.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Davidson.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 21, at Faith Presbyterian Church, 4544 Coronado Parkway, Cape Coral, with the Rev. Dr. H. Tim Halverson officiating. Service will take place in the Hunt Chapel.
