Richard "Dick" L. Collins, 62, of Cape Coral, formerly of Gardiner, Maine, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014. He was born July 26, 1951, in Portland, Maine, to Lee and June Collins, now deceased.
He was a very outgoing person with a zest for life, family and friends. He was a business marketing expert, Web designer and past executive director of the Freeport Merchants Association in Freeport, Maine. He was a vital member of the North Fort Myers and Cape Coral Chambers of Commerce. He was always the entertainer and found his niche as emcee and singer for many years with Peacox Productions based in Pittston, Maine.
He is survived by his partner of 21 years, Stacey Michael Tash; his sister, Wendi (Peter)Everest of South Portland, Maine; as well as nephews, Petey and Ian; nieces, Holly and Jennifer Everest; four great-nephews; and one great-niece.

A Celebration of Life will be held at his home, Sunday, Feb. 9, between the hours of 1-4 p.m. Also, one will be held at Fort Williams, in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, this coming summer date and time TBD.
