Carl Frederick Buer Jr., 87, passed away peacefully Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014. He was born in Charles City, Iowa, Nov. 7, 1926, to Carl B. and Anna Buer. His family later moved to Minneapolis. After graduating from North High School, he served in the U. S. Navy, then married and had four children. He earned his doctorate in psychology at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.
He moved to Racine, Wis., to pursue his career. He worked in private practice as a psychologist and met and married his wife, June, bringing her daughter, Jane, into the family! They later moved to Canandaigua, N.Y., where he practiced at the VA hospital working with World War II, Korean and Vietnam vets. He was very honored to do this.
