Nenetta Lucile Schiavi, 78, of Cape Coral, formerly of Elmira, N.Y., passed away Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, in Cape Coral. She was born Dec. 9, 1935, in New York, N.Y., to Natalie and Frances Passanante, now deceased.
She was of the Catholic faith and attended St. Andrew Catholic Church. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. A loving, caring, loyal, selfless, generous woman with a smile that could light up the sky, is who she was. She had a wonderful heart and beautiful soul. She loved her family and friends. They were everything to her as she was to them. She will always be loved and missed.
She is survived by her three beloved children, David Schiavi (Debbie) of Cape Coral, Michael Schiavi (Lisa) of Cape Coral, and John Schiavi (Deborah) of Cape Coral; four grandchildren, Anthony, Matthew, Joseph and Alexa; many nieces and nephews as well as her family friends at Coral village Apartments.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred E. Schiavi, in 1987; as well as her siblings, Bernice Sochacki, Agnes Losito, Sunny Passanante, Ann Friedman, Natalie Passanante, Jr., and John Passanante.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 25, at Christ Lutheran Church, 2911 Del Prado Blvd., Cape Coral with Pastor Gary LaCroix officiating. A visitation will be held starting at 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
