James Christopher "Chris" Wilson Jr., 57, a Lee County resident for the last 25 years and formerly of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Bristol, Tenn., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, in Fort Myers. He was born Sept. 2, 1956, in Bristol, Tenn., to Jim and Josephine Wilson.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Josephine Wilson, and loving daughter, Heather Michelle Wilson.
He is survived by his beloved wife of seven years, Lauren K. Wilson of Fort Myers; three loving children, Lauren Caitlin Wilson and Adam Massengill Wilson, both of Fort Myers, and Ashley Wilson Capps of Clearwater; step-son, Jordan William Taylor of Fort Myers; three siblings, Susan Manter of Simpsonville, S.C., Rick Hagerstrom (Sandy) of Naples, Fla., and Patti Keeper (Robert) of San Antonio, Texas; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Anita and Herbert Margolis of Boca Raton, Fla.; his sister-in-law, Valerie Breslow (Frank Tyneski) of Austin, Texas; as well as his cherished Yorkie, Lucy.

He was previously a Subway franchise owner and also served as director of store facilities for Chicos/White House/Black Market and program director at WQUT Radio in Johnson City, Tenn. He was also a commercial rated helicopter pilot and successfully completed the Skip Barber car racing school. He loved water sports, boating and spending leisure time at his lake house in Lake Placid, Fla.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 11, at the Church of the Cross, 13500 Freshman Lane, Fort Myers, with Pastor Bud Stephens officiating.
