Seahawks double-up Bulldogs

Marcus Blackwell connected for 14 points and pulled down eight rebounds to lead Cape Coral to a 41-20 victory Monday over Ida Baker.

Jovan Boyd contributed nine points for the Seahawks, who led just 23-13 at halftime. They went on a 17-4 run in the third quarter using a pressing defense to break the game wide open.

Mark Medina and Nick Benvie had a team-high six points apiece for the Bulldogs (3-10), who host North Fort Myers on Wednesday.

Ida Baker 7, First Baptist 0: Ida Baker continues to grind out victories after shutting out First Baptist Monday night in Naples.

The unbeaten Bulldogs coasted behind Roxie Fraser's five goals on the night while getting single goals from Syniah Clark and Gabby Morales. There were no saves necessary for Baker's goalkeeper.

The Bulldogs (18-0-2) host Lemon Bay on Wednesday.
