Buddhist Meditation Center

"Overcoming Anger, Irritation and Frustration" - learn how to reduce these painful minds using simple, practical methods Saturday, Jan. 18, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Samudrabadra Kadampa Buddhist Center, 6338 Presidential Court, Fort Myers (off of College Parkway across from Edison College).

Methods are based on Buddha's teachings, that can easily be applied in daily life, with guided meditation lead by American Buddhist nun Kelsang Jangchen.

Cape Alliance Church

Join Cape Alliance Church every week at 9:30 a.m. for an uplifting and transforming time of worship grounded in God's word enriched with an authentic blend of traditional and contemporary music.

Women are invited to join in a study of the New Testament. Women in the Word meets Monday evenings, beginning at 7.

Each Tuesday morning at 10:30, Ordinary Adult Kingdom Seekers is a weekly Bible study for those who would like to learn more about the Bible.

Cape Baptist Church

Cape Christian Fellowship

There's a lot coming up in 2014 at Cape Christian. The next Men's Breakfast will take place Saturday, Jan. 4, from 8-9 a.m., in the Student Auditorium at the Chiquita Campus. This month's speaker will be covering the topic of what it means to be a man of discernment. The next Women's Breakfast will take place Saturday, Jan. 11, from 9-11 a.m., in the Worship Auditorium at the Chiquita Campus. FamJam, a 45-minute, lighthearted, high-energy interactive stage production that uses music, dancing, videos, storytelling and comedy to showcase a biblically-inspired virtue, is held every month during the school year. Covenant Presbyterian Church

"Aspects of Peacemaking" will be presented Wednesday, Jan. 8, by the Rev. Dr. Jeffrey DeYoe, Senior Pastor, Covenant Presbyterian Church. DeYoe is a scholar, an astute observer of politics and an advocate for social justice in Lee County and beyond. First Church of God's mission is teaching God's word-transforming lives and building the kingdom.

Sunday morning at 9:30, the congregation and guests can hear the sounds the "Praise Team" rehearsing in the sanctuary and the adult Sunday school class assembles in the fellowship hall.
