To the editor:
To the new city council and mayor, I hope you all know you do not work for the city unions and that the city manager works for you, you represent the citizens of Cape Coral and are to safeguard the budget and spend wisely.
Please do not say we inherited the problems but can work to fix them.
To Councilman Leon: If people who were at the meeting remembered your words about the tax on electricity bills, they would not have voted for you. This is not a thing a lot of people can afford and is a way to make up for past mistakes. If you want to bring business to the Cape, repeal this tax or make businesses exempt.
So remember those who voted you in can and will remove you when you are up for re-election.
