Mother of God House of Prayer invites like-minded women to the second annual Women's Wellness Day Saturday, Nov. 9, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The day is designed for women to learn and experience ways to care for themselves in body, mind and spirit.
The keynote speaker, Dr. Bunny Sewell, a psychotherapist in private practice in Naples, will introduce participants to "Becoming Your Best Self; A Portrait of the Self Actualizing Person."
Denise Wheeler, the on-site yoga instructor at Radiology Regional Cancer Center, will lead a restorative and therapeutic yoga session. Cathy Blair, well known throughout Florida for her crystal singing bowls, will play her crystal bowls to promote healing on all levels. Amanda Parke, who teaches at FGCU, will assist participants in creating their own personal vision boards to reach their full potential.
The Day is being held at the Mother of God House of Prayer Retreat and Spiritual Growth Center, 17880 Cypress Creek Road, Alva, Fla. The cost for the day is $50 and includes a healthy lunch.
