Verot, Ft. Myers tie 2-2

Bishop Verot got together with arch-rival Fort Myers on Halloween night for a skirmish on the soccer field. Little was settled between the girls' soccer squads who tied 2-2 Thursday night.

Kiera Clay and Katie Sullivan scored the goals for the Vikings (1-0-1). Goalkeeper Kinzie Frey made 10 saves.

Bailey Pombrio scored both goals for the Green Wave (1-0-1), one on a direct kick the other an indirect kick.

The Vikings host Clewiston on Thursday.

Mariner 9, Lehigh 0: Mariner earned its second win of the season Wednesday night with a rout of Lehigh in a contest halted at halftime on the mercy rule.

Holly Fritz scored four goals to lead the Tritons with Cheyenne Rentsch adding two goals. Three other players added one goal apiece with goalkeeper Alexis Restrepo pitching the shutout.

The Tritons (2-0) host South Fort Myers on Tuesday.

Island Coast 3, Cypress Lake 0: Morgan Whitman scored a hat trick Wednesday night to lead Island Coast past Cypress Lake.

Sharon Churlin and Brittany Wolbach contributed assists on two of Whitman's goals. Goalkeepers Sydni Brookhouser (12 saves) and Sharon Churlin (4 saves) earned a combined shutout.

The Gators play at Gateway Charter on Monday.

North Fort Myers 7, Gateway 0: Darian Leschewski led the Red Knights' victory Tuesday night with a pair of goals with five teammates each adding one goal. Goalkeeper Jacquie Scrivanich made two saves to preserve the shutout.
