Companies open new $1.2 million model home

Century 21 Sunbelt Realty Surfside Office and Paradise Harbor Group are teaming up to revitalize new construction in Cape Coral. The companies will celebrate their new partnership by hosting two open house events at a newly-constructed $1.2 million model home built by Richardson Homes.

Century 21 will host two grand opening events at the model: an open house with free lunch Thursday, Nov. 7, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and a sunset happy hour with wine and cheese Friday, Nov. 8, from 5-7 p.m.

The companies hope the events will kick off a new season of construction in Cape Coral. Two of the three companies will also use the gatherings to celebrate a combined 60 years of service to Cape Coral, with Richardson Homes and Century 21 Sunbelt Realty Surfside Office each having served the area for three decades.

The new model home, located at 4804 Pelican Blvd., is open seven days a week. Interested buyers should call 239-333-3761 to RSVP for either event or to confirm regular showing hours.

Krupp awarded CNE designation

Jackie Smith Krupp has been awarded the Certified Negotiation Expert designation by the Real Estate Negotiation Institute. The CNE is earned by real estate professionals after successfully completing formal negotiation training from the Real Estate Negotiation Institute.

Agents who receive this certification are in the top 1 percent of all agents nationally.

Krupp is a Realtor with Jones & Company Realty, member of Women's Council of Realtors and a 4-year resident of Southwest Cape Coral.

Reitmann inducted into Florida Housing Hall of Fame

Michael Reitmann, director of International Marketing with Marvin Development Corp, was inducted into the Florida Housing Hall of Fame during the FHBA Annual Fall Leadership Conference in Tampa Oct. 19. Reitmann had served as executive vice president for the Lee Building Industry Association for 27 years.

During his career with the BIA, he worked to protect the building industry from excessive regulation and fees. He started Builder's Care, a non-profit organization that provides home repairs to those in need.

"Professionally he lead one of the most successful local builders associations in the country winning numerous battles for builders and homeowners alike." said Richard F. Durling of Marvin Development in presenting Reitmann at the induction ceremony. "He started Builder's Care which has been responsible for over $2,000,000 in repairs to needy families. His most recent accomplishment was his participation in the 80 percent reduction in Lee County impact fees."

LeeCorp Homes offering virtual tours

LeeCorp Homes announces that virtual tours of manufactured home models are now available on the company website, leecorpinc.com.

LeeCorp Homes is an Estero-based custom manufactured home dealership. Since 1983, this family owned company has been designing and installing upscale retirement custom manufactured housing in SW Florida. It offers Jacobsen Homes, manufactured in Safety Harbor, Fla..

The Estero Model Center, located at 20251 S. Tamiami Trail, offers eight furnished Jacobsen models to tour, ranging from a 493-square-foot single-wide park model home to an over 1400-square-foot, 2-bath / 2-bedroom, plus den double-wide home.

Panoramic, 360 degree tours of the kitchen, living and dining rooms in each model is available on the company website. In addition, slide shows are available of the models' kitchens, living and dining rooms, bedrooms and baths.

Virtual tours of LeeCorp Homes' three community models are also available. The two models at Country Lakes of Fort Myers and one model at Tall Oaks of Naples can be viewed on the website.

The models at the Estero Model Center are open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Community models can be viewed by appointment.

In addition to the Estero Model Center, LeeCorp also has a branch office in North Port.

Boatman joins Neal Communities

Marc Boatman has joined Neal Communities as a builder responsible for construction operations in two communities in Lee and Collier counties, announced Michael Greenberg, Neal's vice president in South Florida. Boatman oversees new-home construction at Villa Palmeras in Estero and Canopy in Naples.

Boatman started his career as a draftsman for Tiger Tractor Corporation in Lee's Summit, Mo., where he was promoted to vice president, engineering. After relocating to Southwest Florida, he became a construction manager for Hansen Homes of South Florida.

GMA Architects & Planners wins two Summit Awards

GMA Architects & Planners received two Summit Awards during the Lee Building Industry Association's annual Summit Awards held Oct. 12 at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point in Estero. GMA Architects & Planners was presented with awards for Best Architectural Project in the schools category for the design of the Heights Foundation Cultural Arts and Community Center, and Best Architectural Project in the commercial category for the design of Chico's National Store Support Center Corporate Office Building 10.

The Summit Awards program recognizes success and professionalism within the commercial construction and remodeling industry. Created by the Commercial Contractors Council of the Lee BIA, the Summit Awards provide an opportunity to recognize excellence in this effort.
