Tammy Sophie Shukes, 48, of Cape Coral, passed away Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, in Fort Myers. She was born Feb. 6, 1965, in Guam to Albert and Eugenia Shukes.
She professed a belief in God at a young age. She worked as a pharmacy technician and also was a licensed title agent. She was very generous to her family and friends and always was a giver and on one occasion invited the whole neighborhood to a Hawaiian luau in the backyard. Fun loving and free spirited, she was always ready for an adventure.
She is survived by her mother, Eugenia Shukes of Cape Coral; two children, Ryan Tidwell of Camp Pendleton, Calif., and Raeven Tidwell of Kent, Ohio; one sister, Barbara Chatman (Charles) of Cape Coral; five brothers, Arthur Shukes, Jonathan Shukes, Marcus Shukes (Jana), Jerry Shukes and Eugene Frenzel; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 8, at Mullins Memorial, 1056 N.E. 7th Terrace, Cape Coral, with Father Joe Clifford officiating. Visitation will start at 11 a.m. until the hour of service.
