"The butt stops here!"

According to April Mersinger, that is the slogan for the new Vapormaker shop that opened earlier this month in northwest Cape Coral.

And although the business has only been open a few weeks, she and fellow shop owners Jim Mersinger and Andrew?Shimp report that they have already helped multiple people quit smoking.

"We trying to help people," Jim Mersinger said, by giving customers "the best opportunity to help them quit."

The three Cape Coral residents, all former smokers, opened their shop Sept. 3 at 290 Nicholas Parkway, Unit 17, just north of Pine Island Road and across the street from OfficeMax in the Neighbor-hood Wal-Mart shopping plaza.

Vapormaker offers a wide variety of products, including 90 different flavors for customers to choose from and a number of E-cigarettes and related equipment.

E-cigarettes are a healthy alternative to smoking, greatly reducing a person's intake of harmful toxins. The E-cigarettes create a steam vapor - not smoke - that the user inhales.

The E-juices offered at Vapormaker are all from U.S.-made products, and the new shop creates its own flavors.

"Our store is uniquely modeled for the convenience of our customers, allowing them go get in and out quickly, or if you want to take the time to try our juices and products before you commit, take a seat at our one-of-a-kind demo table," April Mersinger said.

At the self-serve demo table, customers can get a free sample of products. In addition, Vapormaker also keeps all of its E-juices on display on the side wall in the store, allowing customers to browse through all that's available and serve themselves.

"Our self-serve table is unlike anything anyone else has," Jim Mersinger stressed.

The three also provide one-on-one service, with demo training, trouble-shooting and more, if needed.

"It can be tricky to get it right," Jim Mersinger said, when helping customers find the right flavor, equipment, strength, etc.

The owners also said they have the lowest prices in the area.

"We think we've got the most competitive prices out here," Jim Mersinger said.

Vapormaker is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The store is closed on Mondays.
