BRADENTON - Sunday afternoon's game between the Fort Myers Miracle and the Bradenton Marauders was suspended due to a torrential rain storm at McKechnie Field.
The game will be resumed as part of a doubleheader on Thursday, Aug. 29. The first game will be the continuation of the suspended game that was halted in the third inning. Bradenton has a 2-0 lead after scoring two runs, one unearned, against Miracle starter David Hurlbut.
Dan Gamache had an RBI single and Gift Ngoepe scored on an error by Jhon Goncalves at third base.
The second game of the doubleheader on Thursday, August 29 will be seven innings and begin approximately 30 minutes after the completion of game one.
The Miracle (71-49, 26-27) are off on Monday, but return to Hammond Stadium Tuesday for a 7:05 p.m. match up with the Charlotte Stone Crabs.
