The Florida Everblades added two more players to its 20123-14 roster on Wednesday.
Forwards Shawn O'Donnell and Will MacDonald have agreed to contract terms with the team, giving them a total of eight players, seven forwards and one defenseman, on the roster.
O'Donnell, 25, returns after posting four points (1g, 3a) in five regular season games played with the 'Blades last March. In addition, the 6-foot-1, 192-pound forward made 12 playoff appearances with two assists.
"Shawn joined the team late in the season, and learned a lot about the pro level," said Everblades coach Greg Poss. "He has worked hard this summer, and will be attending the Boston Bruins Rookie Camp. Shawn is a great asset with his speed and shot."
Prior to joining the 'Blades, O'Donnell totaled 26 points (14g, 12a) in 28 games at St. Mary's University, and helped lead the Huskies to the CIS Championship. He accumulated 62 career points over his four collegiate seasons (2009-13). Prior to college he played four seasons in the junior ranks with the Weekes Crushers (MJAHL), including a 31-game stint with the Halifax Mooseheads (QMJHL) in 2007-08.
MacDonald, 24, rejoins the Everblades after recording three goals in six games last spring. Prior to joining the 'Blades, the 5-11, 180-pound forward registered eight points (4g, 4a) in his senior season at Princeton University.
MacDonald totaled 31 points (10g, 21a) during his four-year collegiate career with the Tigers.
"Will is another guy who impressed us late last season," said Poss. "He can play all three forward positions, and is an intelligent player with good speed."
The native of Atlanta, Ga., native also played two seasons with the Indiana Ice in the USHL (2007-09) compiling 41 points (19g, 22a).
