Gerhard "Gerry" Ernst Thomas Hojan, 76, of Fort Myers, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013. He was born Jan. 6, 1937, in Germany to Wilhelm and Sophia Hojan, now deceased.
He enjoyed life to the fullest. After leaving his native country of Germany at the age of 17, he earned his masters in culinary arts at the Savoy Hotel in Paris, France. Consequently he lived in Nassau, Bahamas, for a number of years until he finally made Jamaica his home in Sundowner. His business achievements throughout his life have been many.
He will be missed dearly; knowing that he is in a better place and at peace with the Lord. May he always be remembered as the man who threw all caution to the wind and did it "His Way."
