Michael G. Karras, 87, of Cape Coral, formerly of Eddystone, Pa., passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013, in Cape Coral. He was born July 17, 1926, in Oinousses, Greece, to George and Evageline Karramichaelis, now deceased.
He was a graduate of Harvard University Institutional Food Service Program. He was also a Greek Army and Navy veteran. His two passions in life were his family and his love of cooking. He was the happiest when he spent time with family and they were enjoying his delicious Greek food.
He is survived by his beloved wife of over 38 years, Ourania Karras of Cape Coral; his loving daughter, Evangelia "Eva" M. (Jeremy) Domby of Cape Coral; a sister, Eftechia Panteli of Greece; nieces, Angie (Jim) Carey of Maryland and Jenny (Taso) Ladias of Greece; nephews, Socrates (Cathy) Papageorgiou of Maryland and Pantelis Panteli of Greece, as well as a host of extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Kyriaki "Kiki" Papageorgiou.
A funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, July 27, at Mullins Memorial, 1056 N.E. 7th Terrace, Cape Coral, with Jeremy Domby officiating. The family will receive friends at 11 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will immediately follow at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
