Mary "Sharon" Wessar, 68, passed away July 13, 2013, in Cape Coral. Born Feb. 18, 1945, in Montclair, N.J., she later moved to Kansas City, Mo., and resided in Cape Coral since 1991.
She graduated from LaSalle Junior College and later studied at Park College in Missouri receiving a bachelor's degree. She had a 29-year career with TWA as a flight attendant and retired from the airlines. She showed kindness to all those that she met and had a philanthropic spirit about her. She enjoyed living in Florida, liked dancing and spending time with her family. She supported many charities and volunteered with the American Heart Association.
Mrs. Wessar was preceded in death by her loving mother, Mary Clarke Frutchey,

and her sister Shelby Beattie.
She is survived by her spouse, Richard Amend; step-daughter, Heather Menke; a daughter and son-in-law, Regan and Ryan Goldberg; and a granddaughter, Reese Goldberg.
A private memorial service will be held for immediate family.
