Patricia “Pat”  Hayes

Patricia "Pat" Hayes, 83 of Cape Coral passed away June 12, 2013. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1930 to her parents, Willard F. and Lucy L. Closson, now deceased. She moved to Cape Coral in 1963 where she began working with Gulf America Corp. Over the year she also worked at Coral Star Pharmacy on Cape Coral Parkway, Shell Point Pharmacy and Ready Care inc. She was a member of V.F.W. Post 8463 Auxiliary and the American Legion Post # 90 Auxiliary. She was a co- founder of Palmer Drug Abuse Program (P.D.A.P.) that later became On With Life (O.W.L.)

Surviving family members include her daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Mike Gerig, and one granddaughter, Charity Gerig, all of Cape Coral.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dayle Burke.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Monday, July 1, at the Fuller Metz Funeral Home. Burial will follow services at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens.
