Maria Gray, 68, of Fort Myers passed awayThursday, June 20, 2013, at Heritage Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Fort Myers. Mrs. Gray was born in Hungary Oct. 6, 1944, a daughter of Anthony and Maria Koutny, and resided there until the 1970s.
Mrs. Gray was a certified nurse assistant and had worked for many years in the healthcare industry until she was diagnosed with advanced Parkinson's disease. She attended Long Island Bible College before working in the healthcare field.
Her religious convictions gave her a strong belief in Christ which showed in all she did and she conveyed love to everyone. One of her most important events was the marriage of her daughter and the birth of her grandchildren. She enjoyed listening to gospel and worship music, reading, crafting and writing.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Elita Smith, and her grandchildren, Arabella Smith, Reyna Smith and Trinity Smith, all of Cape Coral.
A memorial service is being planned by the family and will be announced at a later date.
