Margaret Mary Hinklein, 84, a Cape Coral resident since 1975, formerly from The Bronx, N.Y. went to be with The Lord Monday June 10, 2013. She was born Feb. 2, 1929, to John and Margaret Stehle, now deceased.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Francis Hinklein in 1991; and brother John William Stehle in 2010.
She retired from Edison State College as payroll clerk in 1991 after over a decade of employment. She was also a dictactophone transcriber for Simplicity Patterns and Johns-Manville inManhattan N.Y.
She developed macular degeneration and became legally blind after retirement. She became a client and a board member of Visually Impaired Persons of Southwest Florida. They provided her the tools, support and confidence to live her life fully while legally blind. VIP taught her how to paint and she won many awards for her art.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Eileen Hinklein Clouse and her husband Ronald of Phoenix, AZ; and beloved son Robert Hinklein and his wife Tracy of Cape Coral, FL. Her beloved grandchildren are Matthew Clouse and his wife Sarah of Fort Myers, FL; and Megan Clouse of Cape Coral, FL and one great-granddaughter Vanessa; sister Alice Stehle of Montrose, N.Y., as well as two nieces and two nephews.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, June 15, at 11 a.m. at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery 1589 Colonial Boulevard Fort Myers, FL 33907.
