Cape police need help identifying smash-and-grab burglar

At 1:16 a.m. April 23, the Cape Coral Police Department responded to a burglary at the Lucky Star convenience store, at 437 Cape Coral Parkway E.

When officers arrived, a store employee replayed the video surveillance of the event.

The video shows that at 1:03 a.m., a Caucasian woman with blonde hair and medium build, wearing a purple jacket and shorts, arrives and tries to open the door. The woman lingers around the front of the store until 1:10 a.m., when she throws a piece of concrete through the bottom half of one of the glass doors. She enters the store, jumps over the front counter and almost immediately leaves again. She enters again, jumps over the counter again and leaves with an object in her hand. She is seen walking west from the entrance.

The Cape Coral Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying the woman pictured connection to a smash-and-grab burglary April 23 at the Lucky Star convenience store, at 437 Cape Coral Parkway E.
