Cape High basketball coach Tom Kenna reported Tuesday that senior David Flynn has signed a scholarship letter to play at Aurora University near Chicago.
"We are very excited for David," said Kenna. "He is a tremendous student-athlete. He has worked very hard in the classroom and on the court to have earned this opportunity. Aurora is getting a great person!"
Flynn led the Seahawks to the district and regional playoffs this past season. He averaged 13 points and seven rebounds per game and is one of the few Cape players to reach the 1,000-point career total.
Flynn is graduating from the prestigious International Baccalaureate program at Cape High with a 5.11 GPA.
