The Cape Coral for Arts and Humanities will hold its annual awards luncheon on Thursday, April 25, at the Palmetto Pines Country Club beginning 11:30 a.m.. Luncheon served at noon. Reservations are requested by April 22.
The Arts Council is dedicated to promotion of the Cultural Arts in Cape Coral and in our "Cultural Center of Cultural Park". They "strive to encouragement all youth to reach their greatest potential in life."
Entertainment for the afternoon will be Terry Stewart, town manger of Fort Myers Beach, with vocal selections. Also appearing will be winner in the "Council for Arts and Humanities" "Stars of Tomorrow" Scholarship program, Niki Verna, instrumental will give musical renditions on the piano - guitar troubador.
Each year the Arts and Humanities Council has given awards and commendations to those who have given outstanding service in the promotion of the cultural arts in this community. Recognition of others will be given.
Awards to be given are:
Citizen of the Year for outstanding service in promotion of the Cultural Arts and Cultural Park in this community. Certificates of commendation to organizations and/or businesses for loyal cultural support.
The board of the C.C. Council for the Arts and Humanities, stated they were very grateful to the citizens of this community for outstanding contribution to our culture at C.C. Cultural Park Theater, C.C. Art League, C.C. Historical Museum & Rose Garden, and C.C. Art Studio.
