Attorneys and staff at Goldstein, Buckley, Cechman, Rice and Purtz are mourning the loss of the law firm's senior partner, Ray Goldstein, who had been with the firm for more than 40 years, serving as managing attorney for eight of those years.
"Ray was the father figure for many of us at the firm," said Jeffrey Rice, managing attorney for the Fort Myers-based law firm. "He was one of the kindest, most caring men we have ever known. We always knew that we could turn to Ray for wise insights regarding both business and personal matters. His patient yet diligent efforts on behalf of his clients benefited thousands of people over his long career in obtaining justice."
Goldstein served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 until 1955. He moved to Fort Myers from Philadelphia in the 1960s and immediately became actively involved in the growing community. Goldstein joined the firm in 1972 and was admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court. He was 81 when he died.
