Mary J. Brown, 86, of Cape Coral passed away Monday, April 1, 2013, at Hospice North in Cape Coral. Mrs. Brown was born in Washington, D.C., June 25, 1926, a daughter of Robert Golden and Agnes McIntosh Golden.
She was retired from Gallaudet College in Maryland, where she had been employed as the executive secretary to the vice president of the college. Following her retirement in 1989, Mrs. Brown and her family moved to Cape Coral. She was a member of the Gulf Coast Baptist Church in Cape Coral where she had taught sign language. She enjoyed her family and baking.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Larry Kincheloe and Jill (H. "Gator" Mason) Brown, both of Cape Coral. and Raymond Kincheloe of North Fort Myers; her grandchildren, Dean, Ray, Patrick, Amber, JD and Charlie; her great-grandchildren, Kendal, Naomi, Ashley, Riley, Jazzmine, Solara, Brieanna, Alden, Aiden and Ashton; and 2 great-great grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Ronald (Pat) Wash of Waldorf, Md.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 4, at 11 a.m., at Gulf Coast Baptist Church, 312 S.E. 24th Ave., Cape Coral. Entombment will follow in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers.
