Robert Thomas French, 55 of Cape Coral, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013, at his home. He was born Aug. 9, 1957, in New Haven, Conn. He had lived here for over 25 years. He worked for many years as a driver for Florida Rock and Tank Lines and more recently as a dump truck driver for various local contractors. He enjoyed fishing, boating, riding his Harley Davidson, classic cars, shooting pool and spending time with his family and friends. Most recently he enjoyed riding around on his 3-wheeler A.T.V. checking on his neighbors.
He is survived by his loving family, including his wife, Laura French; daughter, Rebecca (Robert Reyna) French of Hanover Park, Ill.; son, Thomas French of Cape Coral; parents, Thomas and Madeline French of North Fort Myers; sister, Belinda "Lee" French of Buffun, S.C.
Visitation will be at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 Pine Island Road, Cape Coral, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., Wednesday with the service to begin at 5:30 p.m.
