Zoltan "Zollie" Pozsonyi, 88, of Cape Coral passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013. He was born in New Brunswick, N.J., April 19, 1924, to John and Grace Pozsonyi. He graduated from New Brunswick High School. He was drafted into the U.S. Army where he served honorably during World War II. He married Beverly Kern in 1951 and lived in Bridgewater, N.J., for many years where he was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 27. He retired in 1983, after 50 years of service, and moved to Cape Coral in 1989 where he was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church.
He will be remembered as an avid golfer, beloved husband, loving father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Beverly, four children; Ethel (Roy) Leonard of New Jersey, Tom (Vicky) Pozsonyi of New Jersey, Nancy (Joe) Surovcik of Pennsylvania and George (Linda) Pozsonyi of Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings.
