Paul Douglas Pearce II of Lee County and formerly of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013, in Estero. Fla. He was born June 13, 1980 in Bennettsville, S.C.
He was a very compassionate young man and will be greatly missed. We wish him peace and will remember his laughter in good memory. He loved children, animals and the art of karate as this was where his passion was the most.
He is survived by his father, Paul Douglas Pearce of Fort Myers; four sisters, Elizabeth Pearce (Ray) Gray of Anderson, S.C., Melissa Pearce (Paul) McDaniel of Cape Coral, Summer Pearce (Erik) Halgrim of Fort Myers and Kelly Pearce and her son, Christopher Nimmons; his paternal grandmother, Dorothy B. Pearce of Port Charlotte; an aunt, Elizabeth Pearce Quinn, also of Port Charlotte; an uncle, J. Donald (Carol) Pearce of Chipley, Fla.; as well as 10 nieces and nephews, and five great-nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Pearce, in 2004; his paternal grandfather, Percy P. Pearce; as well as his maternal grandparents, George W. and Carlene M. Hutchens.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., today, March 16, at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 27200 Jones Loop Road, Punta Gorda, Fla.
